Product Features / Capabilities

Can an LCR work at night?

Yes. In fact, some LCR functions are easier to execute at night.
Most definitely. LCRs can work in almost any weather conditions with no risk to human operator safety.
Yes.
Yes, the LCR is fully bi-directional. While the LCR can zero-turn, they often use their bi-directional capability to “turn” instead. This saves time, energy and is even gentler on the terrain.
The choice is based on the terrain and Services to be performed.
The LCR has successfully worked on terrain with 45 degrees slopes (pitch and roll).
The LCR makes all decisions locally without cloud communication. That said, the LCRs are cloud-connected to allow them to update over-the-air, share telemetry, perform remote diagnostics and more.
Services
Absolutely. Having a single LCRs that can perform all three Services, rather than three different machines, confers important cost benefit to customers.
Yes. While Mow, Tow and Know are the most popular applications, the LCR can perform other services/tasks too. Contact Us to discuss your unique needs.
Sales

At present, our primary focus is North America, though we occasionally make exceptions. Contact Us to discuss your use case. We recognize the great demand for LCRs from the EU, Oceania, and elsewhere. We are planning to open facilities on those continents as we continue to grow.

At present, our product is available to enterprise customers only. We recognize the great demand from individual customers like rural property owners and small farms. We plan to expand to these important markets as we continue to grow.

Because LCRs are configured specifically for each customer’s needs, the price varies. Typical pricing is an extraordinary 50% – 75% less than the price of other solutions in the LCRs class. Contact Us to discuss pricing for your specific use case.

Our minimalistic design philosophy, clever engineering and business decisions allow us to build LCRs for a lower cost, which we extend, in turn, to our valued customers.

To provide the best possible service experience, we sell LCRs directly to our customers.

Your custom-configured LCRs will typically be delivered to your site in 3-6 months, depending on the length of our production queue.

That depends on the Service and your location. Contact Us to discuss.

Operation / Safety

An LCR can be charged from AC electricity and solar. Depending on the capacity of the battery system and the power source, charging typically takes 2-6 hours.

Run-time varies greatly based on the Service performed, the terrain and the capacity of the battery system. For Tow and Know applications it is typically 12-24 hours. For Mow applications it is 2-10 hours.

Our engineers perform all repairs, parts replacement, and routine maintenance on site, usually within hours.

Directed Machines warrantees LCRs (parts and labor) against almost all events.
Yes, in most cases, problems are diagnosed remotely, so our field engineers are ready to make the necessary repairs.
The LCR’s work product varies significantly based on the Service performed, the terrain, and the battery capacity. For Tow and Know applications it is typically 24-48 kilometers per charge. For Mow applications it is typically 2-10 acres per charge.
All powerful outdoor equipment carries some risk. However, the LCR was designed with multiple redundant layers of protection at the hardware, firmware, and software levels to reduce those risks.
Verticals
While our current focus is solar, things weren’t always that way. We have significant experience in other industries and applications too. We continue to actively seek partners with enterprise applications to which the LCR can bring value in agriculture, airports, golf/sports, nurseries, roadsides, and rural property locations.
